Set amongst a group of picturesque beach-style chalets in the heart of Gwithian Towans, Sea Dream is a delightful wooden bolthole by the sea. The home sleeps up to four across two bedrooms and is a cosy, well-equipped chalet. Perfect for couples or young families wanting to escape the hustle and bustle of day-to-day life.

Short stays are available from October-March. Check-in any day of the week, three-night minimum.

Sea Dream is a chalet that epitomises the spirit of simple beach life. Ideally located for those seeking a relaxing beach break, for nature lovers who want to discover this fascinating coastal environment, or those looking to surf Gwithian’s pumping waves. With its famous island lighthouse, three miles of golden beach and beautiful dune-scape setting, St Ives Bay is the holiday choice for surf dudes, beach bums and land lovers alike.

Inside Sea Dream

Inside this lovingly built chalet, you’ll find coastal colours and open-plan living. With the beach lifestyle in mind, there’s everything you’ll need for your Gwithian getaway. Walking through the front door, you’ll find the kitchen-dining-living area, where you’ll find yourself relaxing after a busy day exploring all that Gwithian has to offer. The small but well-equipped kitchen is to your left, the dining area with space for four is to your right, and the comfy L-shaped sofa and TV to the front.

As you walk through the chalet, you’ll find a bunk room towards the back of the building, and a family bathroom. Walking up the hand-made staircase in the center of the chalet, there is a cosy double room built into the roof space — this does have a restricted height (mind your head!). A snug chill-out area with sofa is at the opposite end of the double room.

Outside Sea Dream

Located to the rear of Sea Dream you’ll find a small secret outdoor space, which is accessed through the bunk room. This is complete with a table and chairs for two, perfect for that morning cup of tea or catching a few rays of afternoon sun. There is a private parking space for one car, which is a short distance up the road.

The chalet is a short stroll from three miles of golden sands and rolling dunes. Aside from the watersports, Gwithian also provides guests with an abundance of coastal walks, nature-spotting and beach-side relaxation. St Ives Bay faces north-west, so you’ll be regularly rewarded by spectacular sunsets dipping into the Atlantic Ocean. You may even be lucky enough to spot a school of dolphins playing in the waves. The South West Coast Path extends in either direction and is fantastic for seal and bird watching, and the ‘Towans’ (sand dunes) offers a maze of pathways that meander for miles. You are also within easy reach of St Ives, Mount’s Bay, the spectacular moors of Penwith, and more epic surfing beaches all the way from Land’s End to Newquay and beyond.

Things we love

Sea Dream might be small, but it’s got all you need for a great beach holiday, and everything is cleverly and conveniently appointed for your enjoyment. Like so many of the traditional beach chalets at Gwithian, this one has been owned and cherished by the same family for many years. Much of it has been refurbished in 2020, including an all-new kitchen. We love the creative touches, like the stained-glass window above the upstairs bed, the hand-made staircase and textured paint finishes. This retreat has everything that you need, and nothing that you don’t. A bolthole to escape to at any time of year; to surf, to walk, to make memories, or to just dream about the sea.
