Inside the property
Step inside and you’re welcomed into a light and airy open-plan living space designed to make the most of the coastal setting. High vaulted ceilings create a wonderful sense of space, while large windows frame sea views across the dunes and towards the sea beyond.
The living area is a fresh space, perfect for relaxed evenings after a day on the beach, with comfortable seating and space for everyone to gather together. The modern kitchen is well-equipped including high-end appliances for leisurely breakfasts to sociable dinners. The double doors out to the decking from the dining area makes this a lovely spot to enjoy meals while taking in the views.
One of the bedrooms is conveniently located on the ground floor and has plenty of wardrobe space. Along with a stylish family bathroom with features a walk-in shower, this chalet makes a great option for multi-generational families or guests who prefer to avoid stairs.
Upstairs, a charming mezzanine snug overlooks the main living area and offers a cosy place to relax with a book while enjoying the view towards Godrevy Lighthouse. Two further bedrooms (a twin and a king) sit on this level.
Outside the property
Outside, the garden and decked terrace provide a wonderful space to relax and enjoy the fresh coastal air. Whether it’s morning coffee in the sunshine, an afternoon spent soaking up the sea breeze or evening drinks as the sun dips over the dunes, the outdoor space makes the most of this special setting.
From the house, you’ll find a sea-facing private gate which makes it just a short stroll across the Towans to reach the expansive sands of Gwithian Beach — one of Cornwall’s most beautiful beaches and a favourite for surfers, walkers and families alike. Spindrift has an outdoor shower to wash away the day before settling in for the night.
A real bonus for this location, the property also benefits from private parking for two to three cars, making arrivals and beach days wonderfully easy. Things we love
We love Spindrift for its spectacular setting amongst the dunes and its wonderful views towards Godrevy Lighthouse. It’s the kind of place where days naturally revolve around the rhythm of the sea.
Our perfect day would begin with coffee on the deck while the morning light spreads across the Towans. Then it’s down to the beach for a surf or a long walk along the sand — when the tide is out you can wander for miles along St Ives Bay. Lunch at the Gwithian Beach Café is always a good idea before heading back to the house for a relaxed afternoon.
As evening arrives, there’s nothing better than watching the sunset over the Atlantic before settling in for a cosy night indoors. Stylish, peaceful and wonderfully close to nature, Spindrift is a truly special place to experience the magic of Cornwall’s north coast.
