This stunning and thoughtfully renovated holiday home sits above the pristine Mawgan Porth beach. It’s ideally located to stroll down to the sea or watch the beautiful Cornish sunsets from its spacious decking area. Sleeping up to eight guests in comfort, making it the ideal place for a family retreat.

Greenacres is a gorgeous home that has lots to offer for the classic beachside holiday; with breathtaking views, large private garden and a secluded barbeque and fire pit area. It will be your own cosy retreat to return to after a fun-filled day catching waves at this iconic Cornish beach.

Inside Greenacres

Greenacres has been designed with fun family life in mind. The lower level of the home hosts one super king (with an en suite) and one king bedroom, a twin bedroom, a family bathroom with walk-in shower, a second WC, kitchen, dining room and living room.

The lounge boasts stunning sea views, as well as a comfortable sofa, 43” smart TV, and a dual-sided log burner that also faces into the dining room — providing cosy warmth and ambience for the colder months. The kitchen is light and airy, and equipped with everything you need to cook up a storm for you family or group. Features include a convection oven, American style fridge/freezer and Nespresso coffee machine. The kitchen leads on to a contemporary dining room complete with bench style seating for eight lovely guests, and it is glass fronted to catch the sun as it sinks over the horizon.

Up a small staircase you’ll find the fourth large bedroom with king size bed and more sea views.

Out and about

This beautiful home has as much space outside as it does inside. It has a generous decking space spreading across the entire width of the house, which is accessed through the dining area, living room and one of the bedrooms. There is lots of dining and lounge seating, meaning you have plenty of chances for alfresco breakfasts and unforgettable sundowners. The decking leads down to a large garden where you’ll find a children’s play area, and an enclosed fire pit and barbecue area, perfect for entertaining as it’s ideally sheltered from the coastal winds.

Greenacres is a great base to explore Mawgan Porth, a village that truly captures the Cornish way of life. It has plenty of places to eat and drink; try Catch Seafood next to the beach or Blue Fish Bar for excellent fish and chips, or Scott & Babs near St Mawgan for artisanal wood fired pizza! Exploring further afield, Cornwall’s north coast is a playground for visitors. Padstow, Watergate Bay and Newquay are a short drive away and offer some of the UK’s best fine dining and visitor attractions. We recommend trying one of Rick Stein’s celebrated establishments in Padstow, where the seafood is fresh and crafted to culinary perfection.

The area also boasts some fabulous beaches, with nearly 20 in the surrounding area! Many of these are quiet, sandy coves, which are not only stunning with their golden sands and clear waters, but they are also relatively quiet compared to the larger beaches. However, this does mean they don’t have the usual amenities and lifeguard cover, so make sure you’re aware of tide times and if you’re unsure about rip currents then make sure you ask a local’s advice. Visit the rugged Porthcothan Bay, venture down to the expanse of Watergate Bay, or surf the iconic Polzeath Beach. All of these places are connected via the famous South West Coast Path, so why not grab a backpack and do some coastal adventuring?

Things we love

Greenacres is a home where you can experience the best of coastal Cornwall. It’s all about the location of course. We love that you can merrily stroll to Mawgan Porth beach with ease, meaning you’re never far if you decide to go for a spontaneous dip, take advantage of perfect surf conditions or go for a classic fish & chips on the beach. Mawgan Porth’s ideal spot on the coast means you’ll find yourself exploring the countless sandy beaches and picturesque Cornish villages up and down the coast.

Though, you won’t need to leave Greenacres to feel the magic of this coastline. The calm interiors and thoughtful amenities will instantly make you feel at home. You’ll be staggered by the unobstructed views, where you can watch the sun sink into the sea each evening. Whether you spend your time inside or out, fond holiday memories will be made in this unique Cornish coastal retreat.
