This holiday home is relaxing, beautifully decorated and well furnished, making an ideal base for a beach holiday or for exploring the surrounding area. This part of Cornwall is famed for expansive sandy beaches and dramatic coastline. Pentire headland and the beautiful Gannel estuary are moments away, and the harbour and town centre of Newquay, with its growing reputation for excellent restaurants and stylish cafés, is also at hand just a 5-10 minute walk away.
Inside Sea Breeze
This is a large apartment with its own private entrance, generous living areas and beautifully appointed bedrooms. The mood is sophisticated but relaxed, with delightful detailing in wall-coverings and lighting. You will find a large hallway with plenty of space for holiday paraphernalia, leading to the comfortable living room with three generous sofas, and a 50” TV. Some astonishing photographs adorn the walls, many of which were created by the owner.
There are two bedrooms, both beautifully decorated and with windows overlooking the lawns of Bredon Court. The master bedroom is gorgeous and generously proportioned with a king-sized bed, an en suite with shower, and a 32” TV. The second bedroom offers flexibility with a double bed and a single — and a quality sofa bed in the living room provides further sleeping options. Opposite the living room is the open plan kitchen and dining room with a table for six. The kitchen is very well equipped and has lots of preparation space if a hard day in the surf has inspired you to create a seafood masterpiece.
Sea Breeze is on the ground floor and opens out onto the grassy surrounds of the Bredon Court, so alfresco dining and outdoor lounging are easy. By your front door you will find your own ‘surf store’ for wetsuits, surf boards or bikes, and you will have a private parking space within the gates of this exclusive development.
The surrounding area
Sea Breeze is ideally located between town and beach. Fistral beach is arguably the best surf beach in the UK, and is home to the annual Boardmasters surf and music festival, held in high summer. But there are numerous other beaches here; choose from the sheltered waters of Porth, the sweeping sands of Watergate Bay, tiny and pristine Porth Joke, exclusive Lusty Glaze, wild Holywell Bay or the timeless beauty of Crantock (rated by the BBC’s “Coast” programme as one of the UK’s top 8 beaches). Being right on the coast also means you are directly connected to countess miles of the South West Coast Path — and you also have family attractions at hand ranging from Waterworld to Newquay Zoo. If a food experience is what you are after you might treat yourself to a fish dish at Rick Stein’s or one of the other excellent eateries on Fistral beach or in the nearby town, or fine dining at Jamie Oliver’s “15 Cornwall” a little further away.
Things we love
At Sea Breeze there is nothing between you and the sea except a sweeping golf course, and we love to wander out from the apartment, and along the footpath that crosses the golf course, to hang out on Fistal beach. You really could do nothing all holiday except splash in and out of the sea (with a surfboard or without) taking advantage of the eating-out options. And because the town is so close you can avail yourself of surfer’s breakfasts, friendly pubs serving Cornish ales or evening dining without bothering with the car. Back at Bredon Court, Sea Breeze is waiting to welcome you — comfortable and well equipped, to make your well-earned holiday easy-going and relaxing.
