Whether you’re a seasoned pro or you’ve never laid hands on a board, Sunset Surf is Gwithian’s go-to for anything and everything surf-related; and it’s also a great cafe.
The surf school offers individual or group lessons for people of all ages and levels, so it’s a good place to start learning how to master those waves or to improve your skills. The school is led by experienced and qualified instructors, and well-equipped with boards, wetsuits, rash-vests and other accessories. You can also hire or buy surf kit, and the shop sells a range of cool clothing.
For excellent post-surf grub, head back to the cafe for a lip-smacking handmade burger and chips (chef’s special secret recipe). The kitchen uses local Cornish ingredients wherever possible, and the cafe is licensed so it’s a wonderful place to unwind and watch the gulls soar with a cold beer.
