A Sunset Walk — Porthleven to Rinsey

Forever Cornwall Rinsey Sun On Rocks

Cornwall is known for its incredible sunsets, and what better way to watch them than from the cliffs over looking the sea. You don’t have to be at Lands End to watch this mesmerising spectacle we recommend you take a walk after supper on this part of the south coast.

Forever Cornwall Rinsey Sunset Over Sea

If you head on the coast path out of Porthleven itself (this involves walking up the road and joining a track which leads onto the coast path at the top) you will soon be in open vegetation looking over the vast expanse of Atlantic Ocean. The coast path winds all the way to next beach, which is Rinsey, high above the water level below.

You’ll also spot some old engine mines from Cornwall’s past along this section of coast path and you can even walk inside them and around them, this is one of the view places where they are situated on public land. Although this walk is stunning on a summers day at dusk, it is also amazing at all times of year and day.

If you set off in low light, please take precautions for getting back the ground can be uneven and the light disappears quickly after the sun has set.
