Step inside Seamist and you’re welcomed into a bright open-plan living space that perfectly captures the relaxed feel of a Cornish beach house. The living area has a corner sofa and is a comfortable space to unwind after a day outdoors. The well-equipped kitchen sits within the same open-plan space, making it easy to cook, dine and socialise – and there’s also a dining table seating four. A modern bathroom is conveniently located on the ground floor and has a walk-in shower. Upstairs, the bedroom occupies the mezzanine space beneath the roofline and enjoys exceptional coastal views, including a striking triangular window looking out towards Godrevy Lighthouse. The room has a king size bed and overlooks the living space below, creating a charming gallery-style layout that adds to the home’s light and airy feel.
Outside the property
The outdoor space at Seamist makes the most of its wonderful dune-top setting. At the front of the house, a pretty garden with mature palm trees creates a surprisingly tropical fee. To the rear of the property you’ll find a decked and gravelled area along with a useful surfboard store and an outdoor shower — ideal for rinsing off after salty swims or sandy beach days. Parking is conveniently located just behind the property, making arrivals and exploring the coastline easy.
From Seamist it’s only a short stroll through the dunes to reach Gwithian Beach, where miles of golden sand stretch along St Ives Bay. The beach is popular for surfing, kite surfing and exploring rock pools, and there are beautiful coastal walks directly from the Towans.

We love Seamist for its relaxed beach house feel — cosy, peaceful and perfectly in tune with its coastal surroundings. It’s the kind of place where life naturally slows down and the rhythm of the sea sets the pace for the day.
Our perfect morning would begin with coffee in the garden beneath the palm trees, listening to the distant sound of waves drifting across the dunes. From there, it’s a short wander down to the beach for a swim, surf or a long walk along the sand — and when the tide is out you can stroll for miles along the shores of St Ives Bay.
After lunch at the nearby Gwithian Beach Café, the afternoon might be spent exploring the coast path or simply unwinding back at Seamist.
As evening arrives, the sunsets here can be spectacular. Watching the colours fade across the Atlantic before settling in for a cosy evening makes Seamist a truly special place to experience the magic of Cornwall’s north coast.
