How, where and why we collect personal information

We collect email addresses through our newsletter sign-up, Forever Cornwall website forms (‘Contact Us’ and ‘Let with us’), and from our cancellation lists as well as third-party competitions. We do this so that we can send marketing information about new products, special offers or other information which we think subscribers may find interesting.

We also collect information from everyone who makes a booking. We require this information because we have a legitimate interest in fulfilling our service to you, and in understanding your needs. We may also collect information from customer surveys. We have a legal obligation to keep customer information for 7 years. At the end of each calendar year we will delete customer information that is more than 7 years old.

We may collect the following information:

  • Your name and the names of other guests in your party
  • Contact information including your address, email address, home and mobile contact number
  • Information about your preferences and interests relevant to customer surveys and/or offers.

Who do we share booking information with?

When a booking is made for a property through our website we share customer information with our booking engine partner Anytime Bookings, who also have strict privacy procedures. We also share the full name and mobile number of the person who made the booking with the owner of the property and housekeeper/caretaker, so that they know who is coming, and can get in touch in an emergency. We do not share your information with anyone else.

Security and payment cards

Forever Cornwall is committed to ensuring that your privacy is protected and that your information is secure. In order to prevent unauthorised access or disclosure, we have put in place suitable physical, electronic and managerial procedures to safeguard and secure the information we collect.

We do not store or process credit card details on any of our own systems. We use Opayo as our secure online payment gateway and they process your payments on our behalf. Trust Payments adhere to the strictest levels of fraud screening to make sure the card details remain secure during the transaction. We are PCI DSS (Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard) compliant. These are a set of standards for payment account data security.
